Discipline to be enforced in using facilities in the College
Ray Kwok September 26th, 2010
Dear scouts, scouters and parents,
Please be reminded that discipline is to be enforced in using facilities in our gathering venue, HKUGA College. The following rules are to be strictly followed:
- NO food/drink is allowed above the ground-floor level.
- All facilities must be kept clean, tidy and in good order after use, e.g. whiteboards cleaned, furniture arrangement resumed, all electrical amenities switched off…
- All garbages have to be taken away from individual rooms and put inside garbage bins on the covered playground.
As a scout/scouter/parent, we should follow the “Leave No Trace” rule wherever we go and set a good role model for others. However, we can never achieve this high standard without your whole-hearted cooperation. So whether we make it or not all depends on each and everyone of YOU!
Cheers in scouting,
Carmen

Dear sixers and seconds,
Thanks to the joint effort of all scouters and parent helpers involved, the Leadership Training Course aiming at preparing you for the challenge of becoming a sixer or second has just been completed. I’m particularly impressed by the enthusiasm and improvements all of you showed throughout the four sessions. Well done and congratulations!
Here are some snapshots taken last saturday to remind you of what we have gone through together:

Please remember to submit your game preparation sheet and reflection report to me or Sir Sammy this Saturday. BTW, please think again how you can do better in the last game of “Landing safely”!
Hope what you have learned from the course will truly benefit you in your challenges ahead in 229 and in other endeavours of your own!
Cheers in scouting,

Dawn Lui: Scout of the Year 2009
Cliff May 11th, 2009
Congratulations to Ms. Dawn Lui for achieving one of the highest merit awards of the Hong Kong Scout Association: the Scout of the Year (SOY). This year, only 4 scouts were awarded the SOY, the selection criteria being: scouting achievements, academic merit, community service and social capability. Dawn, having international exposure and a vast experience in community leadership, went on to thank her mentors and family for providing her with a scouting experience like no other.
