Congratulations to Ms. Dawn Lui for achieving one of the highest merit awards of the Hong Kong Scout Association: the Scout of the Year (SOY). This year, only 4 scouts were awarded the SOY, the selection criteria being: scouting achievements, academic merit, community service and social capability. Dawn, having international exposure and a vast experience in community leadership, went on to thank her mentors and family for providing her with a scouting experience like no other.

Today began with a slow wake of scouts wading through their morning fatigue across ManSang’s sports ground at 0900 hours. It may have been too early but we began anyway, unpacking our rusty camping equipment, unused for the past half year. The troop checked the stuff a week ago, so it should be fine.
